The route: four engagements.
One ladder, from diagnostic to embedded leadership. Every engagement is project- or topic-scoped with a defined exit. No open-ended staff augmentation.
Take the depth
A diagnostic of the alerting estate as it actually is: noise baseline across every source, correlation and deduplication opportunities, event-management maturity measured against ITIL, and an honest read on what AI-assisted teams have been building faster than anyone has governed. The partner receives a prioritised remediation roadmap they can put in front of their client: findings first, flattery never.
Fit: The low-risk entry point. Easy for a partner to resell; often the first engagement under a new relationship.
Draw the channel
The follow-on: standing up the governor layer for real. Alert-noise governance across a multi-source estate: correlation rules that tell the truth, deduplication at scale, ownership models, signal standards, noise budgets, escalation contracts. Delivered inside the client’s stack (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, PagerDuty and the estate around them), with standards written to outlive the engagement.
Fit: The core engagement. Usually scoped directly from a Signal Assessment.
Through the narrows
A bounded problem, owned end to end. The kind of initiative a vendor’s new internal team brings in outside help to solve: an AI-governance push, an event-pipeline consolidation, an alert-quality programme across product lines. Senior execution at the topic level, with a defined outcome and a defined exit.
Fit: For vendors and consultancies with a named problem and no spare senior bandwidth to own it.
Hold the course
An interim senior event-management or SRE lead, embedded a fixed number of days per week for a fixed period. Judgment on tap: architecture calls, noise governance, on-call culture, and the calibration AI-assisted teams don’t have yet. Project-shaped leadership, not open-ended staff augmentation.
Fit: For delivery organisations that need the judgment layer present, not just consulted.

Tooling, stated honestly
Hands-on now
Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, PagerDuty
Broad familiarity
BigPanda-class AIOps and event-correlation platforms; Micro Focus / HP OpsBridge (OBM/OMi) from prior enterprise work
Cloud
Strong AWS, working Azure, conversant GCP, in that order.
If a claim on this page ever reads like marketing, ask about it in the first 30 minutes. The list above is the honest one, and it’s the same one you’ll hear on the call.
Know where you stand before the next storm.
Thirty minutes, free and specific. We look at your estate, and I tell you honestly whether I’m the right pilot.
